MTG is an original project developed in 2011 by PUBLIQuartet. The concept bridges the gap between diverse musical genres through group improvisation. Their brand of rock meets jazz meets stylistically crazed group composition touches on deeper connections between traditional, modern and contemporary music.
PUBLIQuartet’s educational mission is to share their eclectic pool of knowledge with young aspiring musicians. In addition to their rigorous training and work in the field of Classical music, the members of PUBLIQuartet bring a collective set of experiences from the worlds of Jazz, Electronic, Rock, and Experimental music.
PUBLIQ Access (PQA) is an ongoing genre-independent initiative that creates new works for string quartet by emerging composers living within the U.S. PUBLIQuartet brings widespread exposure of this under-represented music, regardless of style, to concert-goers and engages audiences with talks, panels, and free concerts.
